Description

A nano droplet of liquid water inside the crystal ice. Water molecules are eliminated and only the network skeleton is shown. Red fragments are non-crystalline (liquid-like) fragments. This is a result of a long-time molecular dynamics simulation. Actually, the network inside the liquid droplet is rearranged dynamically in pico seconds, and the droplet itself runs around the ice before start melting.It is an inside view of www.flickr.com/photos/vitroids/1527980322/.
