Description
Los Leones valley is located 30 kms south of Puerto Tranquilo driving along the Carretera Austral. It is the another entrance and one of the highlights of Laguna San Rafael National Park. The first part of the road to the valley is only for 4x4 vehicles, after 1 hour, you have to leave the car and take the path to Los Leones lake hiking 9.5 km bordering Los Leones river to the confluence with the Fiero river, a little further there is the eastern edge of the magnificent glaciar lake. With its turquoise waters, surrounded by an imposing mountains frame of more than 2,000 meters high offers one of the biggest and wild scenic beauties of the Chilean Patagonia.
