In Thailand people build spirit houses next to houses, offices and even government buildings. In this way the Thais show respect for the spirits of the land. People must care for the spirits of the land, because the spirits are believed to protect people, grant their wishes, and bring them good luck and good health. In exchange, the spirits are given food and gifts.Koh Wai is a small island in Koh Chang National Marine Park, Trat Province, eastern Thailand.Koh Wai has stunning white sand beaches with many coral reefs and the interior of the island is covered by forest jungle.
