Description
In studio, London, England - September 16, 2011: On 5th June 1975, the British Labour Government, led by Prime Minister Harold Wilson, held a referendum to decide whether Great Britain should remain within the European Community (European Economic Community - EEC): at the time, it was more commonly known as the 'Common Market'. Every household in the UK received a set of booklets, of which this is one, giving the arguments both for and against staying within the EEC. This image provides both front and back covers of the booklet explaining the 'Vote No' campaign to come out of the Common Market.
