Description
Bergen, Norway - May 14, 2016: Pulley at an 18th century storehouse at Bryggen (wharf) in Bergen in Norway. In 1360 the Hansas, a German guild of merchants, set up one of their import and export offices on Bryggen and dominated trade for the next 400 years. The Great Fire of 1702 destroyed most of the city. However, Bryggen was quickly re-built on the old foundations. Bryggen is on UNESCO's World Heritage List and the city of Bergen is a designated World Heritage City.
