Salamis in Turkish Cyprus was built by the Romans, it later became Byzantine Constantia and was destroyed by the Arabs in 648AD. The Roman Amphitheatre was built 2000yrs ago in the reign of Emperor Augustus. Can hold 15,000 spectators.
