Description
This image was captured at Seljalandsfoss, certainly a well known and often visited waterfall in Iceland along the southern coast. It was one of two that we visited one day, removing these two sites from my checklist of places to see in Iceland. It was awesome. I think my favorite thing about these sites is that they are largely empty. There will often be a bus load of tourists that unload, they come and walk around for about 15-30 minutes, and then they're off, leaving the entire scene mine to explore. It was just so interesting to feel like I was the only one here to experience this beauty. So, as was protocol, I'd throw the ND filter on and take some long exposures of this massive flowing stream of water. There is a path to move behind the waterfall (and for those that choose this, bring waterproof clothes because you will get wet), but since the weather off in the distance was not very good, I chose to shoot in this direction to get the blue skies from a storm that just passed through. Have a great weekend!
