Description
Muskoka High Falls is a 48' tall steep cascade type waterfall on the Muskoka River, north of Bracebridge. The river is dammed slightly upstream for hydro-electricity. The Falls are also known simply as 'The Big Falls' to local residents, and it has the nickname 'Niagara of the North'. The river falls again at Wilson Falls and Bracebridge Falls before it leaves the town.
