Description
Itimad-Ud-Daulah is a Mogal mausoleum commissioned in the 1620's by Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who came from Persia to serve Akbar and is the grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal for whom Shah Jahan built the Jaj Mahal. Located on the bank of the Yamuna River in Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh it is said to be the precursor to the Taj Mahal. This image is the main entrance gate to the Itimad-Ud-Daulah.
