Description
We are back in Argentina after a long tour in the southwest of Bolivia. Things have changed, for the better. After much dust finally there is the asphalt under the wheels of our car. You can not imagine what a relief after so many miles passed between holes, curves, river crossings and rough roads. Under our car now runs a reassuring black strip that eliminates all times and allows us to enjoy the landscape with more serenity. We're going to Cafayate, symbol of Argentine wine. Here we produce the white and red Torrentes malbec (though the latter is of lower quality than that of the flat around Mendoza). Imagine the vineyards to more than 2000 m. Strange is not it? In this warm sunny day we decided to take a rental car to travel this road alone. This strip of asphalt is then the most obvious changes that you will notice when you switch from Bolivia to Argentina. Here we are at 3000 meters above sea level and are within the beautiful Parque de los Cardones. Hundreds if not thousands of cacti that dot the landscape of this desolate plateau at high altitudes. Coming here we seem to be going back to Uyuni and relive the moments spent in Parque Avaroa. Now the sickness height there glosses. We are used at much higher and acclimatamente was complete. We take so few pictures of this road, straight as a die, you lose the flat landscape that is in front of us. Then we raise our eyes to heaven and see an intense blue twirl to a dizzying height four or maybe five condors. Their circular movements are unmistakable and their dimensions allow us to see them from here. It 's always a thrill to see them appear in the sky.
