NORTH KOREA - 2008: General Pak Shan Su, a hero in North Korea - When i asked him why he had so many medals, he answered that he killed a lot of people during wartime! The medal at the top is the Gold Star Medal of the Hero of the Republic. It is the one he had when killing a lot of people. It is the highest decoration in DPRK. North Korea is the most militarised country in the world. According to the US State Department, North Korea has the 4th largest military in the world, at an estimated 1.2 million armed personnel for 23 millions north koreans. Even if many think NK has nuclear bomb, the guns, cars, military equipment seems to come from the 50's... The Korean People's Army is the military of North Korea. Kim Jong Il is the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army. The famous Bush's Axis of evil includes Iran, Iraq, and North Korea. In NK, every young man stay for 6 years in the Army. It means that for 6 years, he won't have many news from his families because there is no email, mobile and very few private phones in North Korea.
